INTRODUCTION
AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) is dedicated to the values and standards of business and ethical behavior that comply to all applicable laws and regulations that include company policies, practices and procedures.
The Group respects, supports and is guided by the principle established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) core conventions.
We seek to insert human rights considerations in all our local and global business operations, services rendered and supply chain. The Group will continue to find various ways to promote and enhance human rights within it scope of influence.
The purpose of this policy is to define the labour and human rights standards in accordance with the Employment Act, 1955 to which all employees in AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad (“AEON Credit” or “the Group”) are entitled.
SCOPE
This Human Rights Policy applies to all officers and employees of the Group.
The Group expects our business partners, including our clients and suppliers to share our conviction to uphold the corporate responsibility to respect human rights.

a) Providing Equal Opportunities
The Group promotes diversity and inclusion and has a zero tolerance policy against any form of discrimination against our employees based on race, gender, language, religion, political views, caste, national or social origin, property, birth, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other distinguishing characteristics.
The Group will continue to direct the employment and human resource practices toward ensuring equal employment opportunity for everyone.

d) Protecting the Rights of Children
In Compliance with prevailing laws, we prohibit all forms of exploitation of children. We prohibit the use of all forms of forced labour, slavery and any form of human trafficking.
e) Privacy/Data Protection
The Group respects the confidentiality of our employees’ personal information and treat all personal data with integrity.
f) Respecting Community Rights
We recognize and respect the legal and customary rights of local communities and indigenous people. We also respect the rights to protect the basic human rights of marginalized groups including refugees and persons of different abilities.
IMPLEMENTATION, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPORTING
The responsibility to respect human rights resides in all our employees. The oversight of this Charter is led by the Board of Directors through the Board Risk Committee which is a Board Committee.
We recognize that we must take steps to commit to periodic review and assessments on human right issues to identify any actual potential adverse impacts on our business activities.
We commit to monitor our progress in implementing this Charter and to develop, where appropriate, performance indicators and other measures to integrate the mitigating outcomes into our internal control systems where appropriate.\
Within the Group, there are established grievance procedures and whistle blowing channels which are available to all our employees.
