The AEON Mesra programme has become a cherished initiative, especially for AEON volunteers who look forward to giving back to the community. It makes each festive season more meaningful through acts of kindness and engaging. In celebration of Deepavali, the Malaysian AEON Foundation together with AEON Credit and other AEON Group volunteers came together to spread happiness by inviting 131 children from underserved communities for a joyful shopping experience. 50 families also received homeboxes containing essential food items for the upcoming festive season.

The celebration which took place in Penang, was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Mr. Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Human Resources and Bukit Mertajam Parliamentary Member; Ng Eng Kiat, Foundation’s President and AEON Credit Chairman; Naoya Okada, Foundation’s Vice President and AEON CO.(M) BHD. Managing Director,; Daisuke Maeda, Foundation’s Vice President and AEON Credit Managing Director; and Foundation’s Committee Members.

This Deepavali reminded us of the power of giving and togetherness. A heartfelt thank you goes to the 18 dedicated volunteers from our Northern Regional Office who made it possible. Let’s carry this spirit forwards and continue to create a positive change through one smile at a time.
