AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad kicked off its Nationwide CR Day 2026 on 3 October 2026 with a Coastal Cleanup Programme at Pantai Kelanang, Banting, Selangor in conjunction with the Company’s 30th Anniversary.
The programme brought together 115 volunteers from the AEON Credit Group of Companies including AEON Credit, AEON Bank, AEON Insurance Brokers and AEON360. Also participating were students from Kolej Komuniti Hulu Langat representing Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa and Badan Kebajikan Sukarelawan Pantai Kelanang with support from Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat.
Together, the volunteers collected 369.96 kg of coastal waste exceeding the initial target of 300 kg. In collaboration with Impactlution Sdn. Bhd., the collected waste will be processed using ASHER Technology and transformed into reusable ash for construction or other beneficial applications while food waste from the programme was repurposed for composting. The programme also featured upcycling workshops where volunteers learned to make soap from used cooking oil and keychains from recyclable materials, encouraging practical ways to repurpose waste. Since 2018, AEON Credit’s annual coastal cleanup initiatives have removed more than 19.8 tonnes of waste from Malaysia’s coastal areas. The initiative supports the Company’s 3-Year Sustainability Roadmap under Coastline Preservation, which includes coastal cleanup and mangrove replanting efforts. Following the kick-off at Pantai Kelanang, Nationwide CR Day 2026 will continue at four additional locations across Malaysia, extending its environmental and social impact to more communities nationwide as AEON Credit celebrates its 30th Anniversary.
