40 children with disabilities from three charity associations, each facing unique challenges, particularly those with Cerebral Palsy, embarked on an unforgettable journey at AEON BiG Subang Jaya during the Malaysian AEON Foundation (MAF) AEON Mesra Chinese New Year programme.

In a heartwarming experience, these children, some venturing into the joy of shopping for the 1st time, selected new attire for the ongoing Chinese New Year festivities. This programme was made possible through the support of AEON Credit, AEON BiG and the Rasa Sayang AEON Club volunteers.

Later, both the children and their guardians found themselves enveloped in the spirit of the season receiving ‘ang pow’ and joining hands for a ‘yee sang’ tossing session. The presence of MAF President, Datuk Iskandar Sarudin; MAF Assistant Secretary, Dr. Vincent Ng; Managing Director of AEON BiG, Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed and AEON Credit Senior Management elevated the event.

As if that weren’t enough, the programme extended its reach to deliver homecare boxes filled with essential food items and personal hygiene products to 25 deserving families. A gesture that went beyond material gifts, offering comfort and support in the true spirit of community.

Reflecting on the past, the AEON Mesra programme with a contribution of RM167,225 last year, painted smiles on 781 children during Aidlfitri, Deepavali and Christmas celebrations. It stood as a testament to unity with 78 AEON Credit volunteers showed tremendous effort and creating values during these special occasions.
